As soon as a seller accepts a buyer's request, the buyer's card is automatically charged and the funds are held in escrow until the payment settles, and the payout can be processed.
After the buyer’s payment settles, our system will check if the buyer has marked the tickets as received and if the payout is under the seller's active transaction credit limit (ATCL).
CashorTrade holds the funds from a sale in escrow and will initiate the payout based on a seller's Trust Level and Active Transaction Credit Limit (ATCL).
If your payout exceeds your ATCL, it will begin to process 3-5 business days after the event has ended.
If a buyer does not mark tickets as received, the payout will begin to process 3-5 business days after the event has ended.
NOTE: For all hotel, travel packages, VIP experiences, Cloud9, Playa Luna, 100x packages, or other high-risk events, all payouts will be held in escrow until 3-5 business days after check-out. For more information, please refer to the Help Center article: Payout Process for Travel Packages and High Risk Events
Payouts are processed Monday–Friday around 10pm EST (excluding bank holidays). Please allow 1–5 business days for funds to appear in your PayPal account after the payout has been initiated.
Active Transaction Credit Limit (ATCL)
Your ATCL determines if payouts can occur before an event:
ATCL $0: Payout occurs 4 business days after the event
Established ATCL ($500, $1,000, $2,000): Payout timing depends on your Active Transaction Balance:
Balance UNDER ATCL: Paid within 3-5 business days after the buyer marks the tickets as received
Balance OVER ATCL: Paid 3-5 business days after the event or once your balance falls below your ATCL, whichever comes first
As sales are completed, your Active Transaction Balance decreases, freeing up credit for future pre-event payouts
Example 1: You sell one $100 ticket, and you have an ATCL of $500.
Your payout of $100 will be processed to your PayPal account on file 3-5 business days after the buyer has marked the tickets as received.
Why?: Your payout is under your ATCL
Example 2: You sell four $200 tickets for a total of $800 and you have an ATCL of $500.
Your payout of $800 will be processed to your PayPal account on file 3-5 business days after the event has ended.
Why?: The payout exceeds your Active Transaction Credit Limit
Example 3: You sell one $1,200 Hotel Package and you have an ATCL of $2,000.
Your payout of $1,200 will be processed to your PayPal account on file 3-5 business days after the event has ended.
Why?: Hotel Packages are considered high-risk and will be paid out after the event has ended, regardless of the buyer marking the tickets as received and your ATCL.
To increase your ATCL, CashorTrade considers your time on the platform and the number of successful sales.
