Can I Sell Free (Comp) Tickets on CashorTrade?
No. Complimentary ("comp") tickets may not be sold on CashorTrade.
CashorTrade is built on one simple principle: fans should never profit from tickets. Because complimentary tickets are provided at no cost by an artist, venue, promoter, sponsor, or other organization, selling them for any amount would result in a profit. For that reason, comp tickets cannot be listed for sale on our platform.
What Are Comp Tickets?
Comp tickets are tickets that were received free of charge, including (but not limited to):
- Artist or guest list tickets
- Venue or promoter complimentary tickets
- Sponsor or contest prizes
- Employee or industry passes
- Media or promotional tickets
- Any ticket obtained without paying for it
What If I Can't Attend?
If you're unable to use your complimentary tickets, we encourage you to gift them to another fan instead of selling them. Sharing free tickets helps keep the live music community fair and aligns with the values CashorTrade was founded on.
Why Is This Policy in Place?
CashorTrade exists to combat ticket scalping and ensure fans can buy, sell, and trade tickets at face value or less. Since complimentary tickets have a face value of $0, they cannot be sold without creating a profit.
What Happens If I List Comp Tickets?
Listings for complimentary tickets may be removed, and accounts that attempt to sell free tickets may be subject to moderation, including suspension or removal from the platform for violating our Terms of Use.
