We’re excited to announce a major upgrade to the CashorTrade experience.
CashorTrade now integrates directly with primary ticket companies to confirm Face Value ticket pricing directly from the source. That means no more cross-checking receipts or extra verification steps. This creates a smoother, safer transfer process for both buyers and sellers.
This will only be available for certain events until this new feature has been fully released. Upon post creation (for sellers), or offer acceptance (for buyers), you will be notified about how the delivery process will work.
This new integration makes ticket exchanges easier, faster, and fully authenticated from start to finish. As part of CashorTrade’s ongoing mission to create a safer, more transparent marketplace to buy, sell and trade tickets, these enhancements focus on streamlining the transfer process, reducing friction for both buyers and sellers, and helping ensure every ticket remains valid and sold at face value. CashorTrade will be working closely with most major primary ticketing systems to strengthen the ability to combat scalping while delivering a seamless, in-app experience for all users. How it works:
For Sellers -
The good news? Very little changes for you, and it’s easier than ever!
- You will need your ticket barcode(s) or order number from your primary ticket account (Etix, Afton, Ticketmaster)
- When creating the listing, enter the barcode information and the seating information when prompted in CashorTrade. The information will be validated by the primary ticketing company and the listing will be live!
- Once a request is accepted, the buyer’s card is charged and the ticket transfer will automatically be initiated directly within CashorTrade.
How to Find Your Barcode or Order Number:
- Log into your primary ticket account.
- Go to My Events.
- Select the event you’re selling.
- View your ticket receipt or ticket details to locate the barcode or order number.
- The barcode can also be found directly in your digital wallet if the tickets have already been saved to your device.
Once submitted, your buyer receives a fully authenticated transfer through CashorTrade.

For Buyers -
🎟 Your Tickets Live in CashorTrade
Your verified tickets will appear directly in your CashorTrade app, not in the Primary Ticketing app/account. This is expected behavior. Your ticket is securely issued within CashorTrade as part of the new integration.
Once the buyer clicks “View Ticket”, the ticket will be saved locally to the device. This way if you have service or not, you will have access to the tickets to enter the event. BE SURE TO ‘VIEW TICKET’ BEFORE YOU ARRIVE.
Why This Matters
For years, confirming Face Value pricing required additional verification steps. Now, by integrating directly with primary ticket companies, we can:
- Confirm Face Value pricing at the source
- Eliminate manual receipt cross-checking
- Reduce transfer friction
- Provide stronger buyer and seller confidence

Was CashorTrade acquired by a primary ticketing company?
No, CashorTrade has not been acquired by a primary ticketing company. It remains the same fan founded, fan driven platform built to keep ticket buying and selling fair.
This new integration makes ticket exchanges easier, faster, and fully authenticated from start to finish. As part of CashorTrade’s ongoing mission to create a safe and transparent marketplace, these updates simplify the transfer process, reduce friction for both buyers and sellers, and help ensure every ticket is valid and sold at face value. By working more closely with major primary ticketing systems, CashorTrade is making it even harder for scalpers to take advantage of fans while creating a smoother, more seamless experience from listing to transfer, all in one place.
What events are available to use this new feature with?
This will only be available for certain events until this new feature has been fully released. Upon post creation (for sellers), or offer acceptance (for buyers), it will clearly explain the delivery process and how it will work. Once you see it, you will know the transaction will have the new primary ticketing integration! As we roll this feature out, more and more events will be added to use primary ticketing integrations.
Can I list tickets at the price I paid?
On CashorTrade, the listed ticket price can not exceed the original face value price. If the tickets were purchased at a higher price on a secondary resale site, the listed price will need to be adjusted to be at or below the original face value price set by the artist, event, promoters, and/or primary ticketing company. When Primary Ticketing Integrations are enabled, the original face value price will automatically populate in the pricing field when the listing is being created.
Will this affect Platinum/Premium Tickets being sold on CashorTrade?
Platinum/Premium Tickets can still be listed on CashorTrade, and will be verified and confirmed by the primary ticketing company. Although Platinum/Premium Tickets may be higher priced than other tickets, they are not scalped, they are not resold, and are still considered face value, as that is the price set on the primary ticketing platform.
Platinum Ticket prices are determined by the artist, venue, and promoter using a dynamic pricing model similar to what hotels and airlines use.
How will my tickets be transferred?
Once a buyer’s request has been accepted, the buyer will automatically have access to a freshly generated ticket barcode within the CashorTrade app and the original barcode will be invalidated. The buyer can access the ticket directly through the CashorTrade app. Once the buyer clicks ‘View Ticket’ from the CashorTrade app, the ticket will be saved locally to the device, allowing the user to access the ticket if they have a cellular/wifi signal or not (similar to saving it to a digital wallet). No need to transfer the ticket through the primary ticketing app when this feature is enabled for an event.
Will they be available in the primary ticketing app still?
For now, the ticket will live directly on your CashorTrade mobile app. After the request is accepted by the seller, the buyer will have the option to ‘View Ticket’, which will save the ticket(s) directly to the mobile device, similar to saving a ticket to a digital wallet. This way, it can be accessed at any time, with or without a signal or wifi connection.
What if Ticketmaster restricts transfer for my event?
Delayed transfer or non-transferrable tickets will be allowed to be sold and delivered prior to the event on CashorTrade. This will allow more tickets to be exchanged between real fans, at face value or less!
Can I access the ticket through mobile or desktop?
Since these tickets will be digital tickets, a mobile device will be required to use the ticket upon entry. Directly from the CashorTrade app, the buyer can use the ‘View Ticket’ button to save the ticket locally on the mobile device. This ensures users will have access to the ticket upon entry if they have cellular/wifi signal or not!
Can we opt-out of using this feature?
At this time, any event that has enabled the Primary Ticket Integration will require a barcode or order number to list the ticket and the ticket will be delivered to the buyer within the CashorTrade app. There will be no option to ‘opt-out’ of using this feature. This protects both buyer and seller with fully authenticated tickets, confirmed face value, and a seamless delivery experience.
Are there any added fees?
In order to bring this added protection, validation, and ease of transfer to the community, primary ticketing companies may require a small added fee. This will be seen upon checkout in the itemized breakdown of the final price that will be paid.
