Face Value Policy

CashorTrade.org is the world's first face-value ticket exchange that provides users with the ability to buy, sell, or trade tickets with another fan. We developed this website with the sole mission of helping fans sell, purchase, and trade tickets without being taken advantage of by large corporations or online scalpers.
 

By signing up, you agree to:

• BE KIND to other members of the community

• Sell and purchase tickets at face value or less

• Not make a profit from selling tickets
   

Setting Prices

Ethical ticket pricing sits at the center of CashorTrade's mission. We use the terms "Face Value" and "Fair Trade" to make sure that we're on point. Here's how you can be too.
 

Face Value Includes:

• The cost of the ticket from the primary ticket on-sale

• Standard fees from the original retailer (not broker fees)

• Shipping costs

Face Value Example:

• A primary market, such as Ticketmaster, sells a ticket for $55 + $11.25 in fees for a total of $66.25. 

  • This ticket's Face Value price is $66.25

  • This ticket can only be sold on CashorTrade for $66.25 + shipping costs if applicable

• This same ticket was purchased on a secondary market, such as Stubhub, for $150

  • The ticket's Face Value price is $66.25

  • This ticket can only be sold on CashorTrade for $66.25 + shipping costs if applicable

 
Fair Trade:

All trades must be 1:1 or 2:1 plus the cash difference.
 

Trade Example 1:

If you have 5 lawn tickets ($30 each) and you want only 1 hard-to-obtain floor ticket ($90), then a great offer is...

• Good: "3 for 1 trade and purchase my extras at Face Value."

• Bad: "I will trade you 5 lawn tickets for 1 floor."

Trade Example 2:

If you have 1 box seat ticket ($120 each) and you want 1 floor ticket ($90), then a great offer is...

• Good: "For trade 1 box seat ticket, in search of 1 floor ticket + cash difference"

• Bad: "I will trade you 1 box seat ticket for 1 floor."

Tip: use keywords "Cash Difference", "1 For 1:, etc. to help find the perfect trade
 

What Are Flags?

CashorTrade is a member-monitored community, and we truly rely on our users to help keep each other in line with our policies. A flag is a notification from a CashorTrade member in reference to a post that does not meet the CashorTrade Face Value Policy.
 

If your listing or account is flagged, you will need to correct the behavior that got you flagged. Flags can occur for reasons such as, but not limited to, an unfair trade, a ticket is listed above its face value price, or for using inappropriate behavior or language.
